Plastic Surgery in Lebanon for International Patients
Considering travelling to Lebanon for plastic surgery?
I regularly treat patients living abroad and have developed a structured pathway from the initial online consultation through surgery, recovery in Lebanon and follow-up after returning home. We aim is to make the process predictable without compromising the same preoperative assessment, safety requirements and postoperative follow-up I use for local patients.
For patients living abroad, planning surgery involves more than choosing a procedure. The preoperative assessment, travel dates, accommodation, postoperative care and timing of the return flight all need to be coordinated around the operation. I therefore start the process with an online consultation before any surgery is scheduled. This allows us to determine whether the procedure is appropriate, discuss expectations and recovery, review relevant medical history and plan the necessary time in Lebanon.
How does it work?
Before travelling to Lebanon
The process begins with a 45-minute online consultation, ideally at least 3–4 weeks before the proposed surgery date. We will discuss your concerns, medical and surgical history, photographs, the proposed procedure, alternatives, expected recovery and potential risks. Additional investigations or medical clearance may be requested before travel. Surgery is not confirmed simply on the basis of photographs. A final clinical assessment takes place after arrival in Lebanon.
We help create personalized packages to meet your specific needs, including transport logistics and accommodation. We can assist you in booking a hotel near the clinic or hospital at competitive, preferential rates, and also arrange transportation from the airport to either the clinic or your hotel
Travelling to Lebanon
International patients should generally arrive in Lebanon 5 to 7 days before the surgery date, depending on surgery, and if they have flown in internationally, and 48-72 hours if their flight was short haul (<4 hours). This allows your body's circulation to normalize, cabin-pressure swelling to subside, and fluid balance to stabilize.
A final in-person consultation is performed before the procedure, including clinical examination, standardized photographs, surgical planning and completion of the consent process. The pre-anesthesia assessment and any outstanding investigations are also completed at this stage.
Surgery and Recovery in Lebanon
Patients should plan to remain in Lebanon for at least 7–10 days after surgery, although some procedures require a longer stay. I determine the appropriate travel date according to the operation and early postoperative recovery rather than using the same timeline for every patient. The first postoperative appointments take place while you are still in Lebanon. When required, nursing care and dressing changes are also be arranged with our multilingual staff.
After returning home
Follow-up does not end when you leave Lebanon. A remote postoperative consultation is generally scheduled at approximately six weeks, with further follow-up according to the procedure and recovery. Patients who are able to return to Lebanon can also be reviewed in person.

Ideally, contact me at least 3–4 weeks before your intended surgery date, and earlier if your travel dates are fixed. This gives us enough time for an online consultation, review of your medical history and photographs, any necessary investigations or medical clearance, and proper planning of your surgery and stay in Lebanon.

Yes. International patients can begin with an online consultation before travelling to Lebanon. We can discuss your concerns, medical and surgical history, photographs, possible procedures, recovery and expectations. However, surgery is only finalized after an in-person examination in Lebanon, usually 24–48 hours before the planned procedure.

Most of the procedures I perform can be planned for patients living abroad, including rhinoplasty, facelift and neck lift, blepharoplasty, facial fat grafting, breast augmentation, breast reduction, mastopexy and selected body-contouring procedures.
Whether a particular operation is appropriate for an international patient depends on your medical history, the complexity of the surgery, the required postoperative care and how long you can safely remain in Lebanon.

Yes. My team can assist with practical arrangements including accommodation near the clinic or hospital and transportation from the airport. These arrangements are discussed individually according to the length and requirements of your stay.

After the consultation and surgical plan are finalized, you will receive a detailed quotation outlining the expected costs. Any additional services arranged for your stay, such as accommodation, transportation or nursing care, can also be discussed beforehand. Payment arrangements and deadlines are confirmed before surgery so that these details are settled before the day of the procedure.

Complications can occur after any surgical procedure. If a problem develops while you are still in Lebanon, I will assess you directly and organize any treatment that is necessary, including an additional procedure or return to the operating room when required. If an additional intervention is required to treat a complication related to your surgery, I waive my professional fee. However, hospital, operating-room, anesthesia, medication, investigations and other third-party costs are not under my control and may still apply.
If a problem develops after you have returned home, I remain available to assess the situation remotely and guide you on the appropriate next step. Depending on the nature and urgency of the problem, this may mean treatment locally, assessment by a plastic surgeon or hospital near you, or returning to Lebanon when this is appropriate and safe. I can communicate directly with the treating physician and provide the relevant operative and medical information when necessary.

Return dates should always allow some flexibility because recovery cannot be predicted to the exact day. If I do not consider you medically ready to travel, I will recommend postponing your flight. My team can help extend accommodation and make the necessary practical arrangements while you remain in Lebanon, and I will continue to follow you until it is appropriate for you to travel.
